Membership Information

All dog walkers are required to sign up for a membership with Great Meadow. The cost of this membership is $5 for one dog and $2 for each additional dog. Members will receive dog tags for each of their dogs and a parking pass for their car. Memberships will be renewed at the end of each year.

Dog Walking Rules



  1. Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by them.

  2. Owners MUST purchase a GMF permit each calendar year (January 1 – December 31) and dogs must wear GMF permit dog tags while walking dogs on property.

  3. Dogs must be on leash at all times.

  4. No puppies four months and under allowed. 

  5. Dogs must be fully vaccinated, licensed, and healthy.

  6. Animals must always wear a collar and I.D. tags.

  7. Owners must clean up after their dogs. Waste stations are provided for your convenience.

  8. Dogs showing aggression towards people or other animals will be removed from the property.

  9. Animals who exhibit a history of aggressive behavior will not be permitted.

  10. Owners should not leave their dog unattended or out of sight.

  11. If young children are present, they too must be under constant supervision.

  12. Dogs in heat are not allowed on the property.

  13. No glass, sharp objects, or weapons allowed on the property.

  14. No more than three (3) dogs per person on the property at one time.

  15. If you feel your dog is in danger, leave the park, report the situation to the GMF office.

  16. Property is open for dogs to walk from dawn to dusk.

  17. No dog walking will be permitted during major events. Please check the calendar on our website for event dates. 


Violators will be subject to removal from the property and suspension of dog walking privileges.

Homemade Doggie Biscuits Recipe


-2.5 Cups whole wheat flour (substitute regular flour or oats if your dog is sensitive to wheat)

-1 tsp. salt 

-1 egg

-1 tsp. beef or chicken bouillon granules (or substitute beef or chicken broth/stock)

-1/2 cup hot water


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. Dissolve bouillon in hot water

3. Add remaining ingredients (if desired, you may add a few drops of food coloring)

4. Knead dough until it forms a ball (approx. 3 minutes)

5. Roll dough until 1/2 inch thick

6. Cut into slices or bone shapes (you can purchase a boone shaped cookie cutter)

7. Place dough pieces on lightly greased cookie sheet

8. Cook for 30 minutes
