Update as of May 14, 2020
A message from Great Meadow’s Chair of the Board of Trustees:
As Virginia cautiously begins its reopening, please be aware that Great Meadow and all the event organizers are working diligently to plan and restructure the events on our calendar. While some of our events can be adapted with social distance protocols and limited attendance, some are simply not feasible with current restrictions and regulations. The health of fans, participants and staff is our top priority. We ask that all our supporters be patient and understanding as we navigate this "new normal".
Update as of April 29, 2020
TWILIGHT POLO - At present, tentative start date for 2020 Twilight Season is Saturday, June 13th, following the scheduled end of the Virginia stay-at-home order on June 10th.
The practice of kicking off the season with Military Appreciation Night with free entry for active, retired and veteran members of the armed forces on opening night will continue. One valid military ID per vehicle will be required for free entry on that date.
While still under review, Great Meadow hopes to add additional nights of Twilight Polo in September and October. A complete schedule will be made available as soon as details are finalized.
The Great Meadow Foundation is grateful for your patience and understanding in these uncertain times. Our hope is for a safe and fun 2020 event season. As we move forward, we will continue to strictly adhere to directives from local and state authorities.
All dates are tentative and subject to change or cancellation with the ever-evolving COVID-19 situation.
4TH OF JULY - We are hopeful to continue our longstanding tradition of family fun and fireworks on the 4th of July. Several different models of the event accommodating social distancing and other sanitation protocols are being analyzed. Further details will be published as soon as they are available.

In these unprecedented times, Great Meadow’s commitment to the health and welfare of our guests and staff remains the top priority. Under the advice of the CDC and other local experts, the Virginia Gold Cup Association has made the decision to postpone the Virginia Gold Cup, originally scheduled for May 2nd, to June 20th, 2020. Twilight Polo on June 20th will be canceled.
At this time, our hope is to begin the 2020 Twilight Polo season on May 23rd with Military Appreciation Night. Should that change, an update will be published. We will be adding an additional night of Twilight Polo on September 19th to the season. An updated theme calendar will be available shortly.
