Nestled in the heart of Virginia’s Piedmont countryside, Great Meadow is a 250-acre field events center and steeplechase course operated under stewardship of the Great Meadow Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of open space for community use.

Through the stewardship of this open space, the Great Meadow Foundation is dedicated to:

1. Preserve and maintain the scenic beauty of the Virginia countryside
2. Youth education and sports activities
3. Being the permanent home of the Virginia Gold Cup (spring) and the International Gold Cup (fall) races, the annual July 4th celebration, and the Great Meadow Polo Club
4. Furthering the spirit of volunteerism and charity; the willingness of the heart
5. Being constantly evolving and improving organization providing a quality of life opportunity for all our constituents.
